It already is that, to everyone — or at least a severe form of social exclusion that puts people’s lives at risk.
I may have had and spread coronavirus. How many other gig workers may have and be spreading the virus?
At this point I think nothing but direct action is going to do anything - we need to have actual boots on the ground and bodies there.
My biggest concern is that I need to be sure my rent, car payment, and medical insurance are paid.
I just want to drink myself to death.
I thankfully have been putting away savings, and have a pretty low-cost living situation, so I can continue to exist, but I still think that I would like to keep working to keep a small income stream.
I only go to work, I don’t go anywhere else. I prefer to work.
I feel that the “takeout only” rule leaves a lot of businesses in limbo and a lot of workers at risk of exposure. It would be better, in my opinion to completely shut down nonessential businesses.
I am not sure how she expects me to pay my rent and bills without all of this work.
